4K Zero Gravity Feed

While flipping thru channels yesterday, I stumbled onto a 4K video feed between the International Space Station and an AWS presentation from a recent broadcasting convention on the NASA channel. If you want to see cool zero gravity tricks, go to the 13 minute mark in the video.

Amazon Shopping Lesson #1

Here's an interesting article for you.

How Amazon's Pricing Algorithm Is Designed To Hurt Consumers

It's really about unfairness in how Amazon shows search results for third-party merchants. But there's an important shopping lesson you can learn from it, which I'll share in case you don't have the time to read the article. Don't assume the first result you get back in an Amazon product search is the best deal. I just did a search for "pool noodle". On the page of matching items, items are not necessarily being sorted in order by lowest price. My pool noodles are being sorted by relevance. Look for the Sort by menu in the top right corner of the search results, and change to Sort by Price: Low to High when low prices are important to you.

Once you've picked out a pool noodle and clicked to its product page, be aware that more merchants besides Amazon may be selling that product, and at a lower price. Check out this particular noodle. It says it's being sold by Court House Supplies and Fulfilled by Amazon for $13.39, with free shipping since I'm a prime member. However, to be a smart shopper, you should look for the words "Note: Available at a lower price from other sellers, potentially without free Prime shipping". Normally you should click on the words "other sellers", but this time Amazon is actually helping me out and showing Other Sellers on the bottom right of the page. Do you see what I see?

A merchant named PoolStuffExpress is selling these same noodles for $12.21. I can get these noodles for a dollar chaper with free shipping without even being a Prime member!
